Coaching skills for line managers and team leaders

The Programme

NHS Leadership South West is committed to supporting NHS employees who want to develop a coaching culture in their organisation. As part of that support we have identified the important role of leaders and managers across the system.

In order to support these staff, we have developed a two day programme (non-consecutive to allow time for practice and reflection) that will focus on equipping team leaders and managers with key skills based on a coaching approach.

Through this programme, participants will learn how to use coaching skills:

• in difficult conversations;
• to facilitate innovation, improvement and patient safety;
• to provide effective feedback
• to implement successful project management.

Participants will also be able to access free personal coaching as part of the programme via the NHS Leadership South West Coaching Register.
